BIC Consumer Products USA has presented the USO with a $1 million donation, made possible by its charitable giving and community care program, BIC Honors.

The check was presented at a ceremony to dedicate the USO’s Warrior and Family Center at Bethesda, in honor of Prescott S. Bush. The Center has recently opened its doors to active duty and wounded troops, as well as their families and caregivers.

BIC’s contribution stems from a nine cent donation from the sale of its Special Edition lighter series, “Support the Troops.” The series has been sold throughout the country since 2011 and is manufactured at BIC’s lighter manufacturing facility in Milford, CT.
